Thanks for the suggestions, the race will be providing Gatorade at the water stops and Gu later in the race. I guess my real concern was in how much do I need to take in and at what intervals to maintain enough energy to run for four and a half hours. I have read somewhere, that one should take in about 300-350 calories per hour while in long distance runs. Just wondering if that is what others have experienced.
