I too had not heard of EBV. Searched on About.com. Seems to be related to Mono.

"Epstein Barr virus, frequently referred to as EBV, is a member of the herpesvirus family and one of the most common human viruses. The virus occurs worldwide, and most people become infected with EBV sometime during their lives. "

In my case I don't think this is what I have. My symptoms seem similar to what many around us in Calgary have had.

And if it is Mono - great! Didn't the U.S. speed skater have Mono a month ago and then went on to set a world record in the 1500 at the Olympics!?
