Message Category: Health/Nutrion Topics Topic: Weight lost versus race time improvements
I lost a few pounds before an ultra a few months ago (down to 142), and had an awful race.
I put the pounds back on (up to 147) and ran a PR in a marathon last week.
While you certainly do not want to be overweight to maximise performance, it is more important to be fully prepared and carbo-loaded.
