Hello, I'm running as part of a marathon relay this Sunday and - wouldn't ya know - will be in full throes of the menstrual cycle. I get cramps, for which I usually take Aleve. I've read somewhere that you're supposed to take this after running, not before (articles pertaining to how/when to treat injuries). Does anyone know if - since I'll have a long wait before the race - whether there is some risk in taking Aleve (or another pain releiver) before running? (my stretch is only 5 miles, btw). Thanks so much for any advice!
