Last year my husband trained for the Nov 07 Philly marathon but was unable to run when he came down with a violent stomach virus in the hotel the night before! He was in top form for that race and has done 70.3 triathlons before. He is now training for the Vermont City marathon this memorial day weekend and 2 weeks ago was diagnosed with mycoplasma pneumonia. He went back to work last Thursday (1 week ago) and has finished all of his meds. He resumed "short runs" last Sunday and even went on a long bike ride, but this morning told me he didn't feel like he had any energy and struggled on a 6 mile run. Of course I think he resumed training too soon. Is the Vermont City in 5 weeks attainable? I don't want him to sacrifice his health "just to finish". Any advice is appreciated. Thank you
