I am confused.

I see that there is a mathematical equivalent between distances paces, makes sense.

My runs are generally 1/3 - 1/2 up or down grade(my neighborhood is hilly) and my run distances are similar. I don't understand how one run would be better or worse feeling yet result in similar times over the same terrain.

The McMillan program seems to offer a lot, but at prices that are outside of my current budget. Just a working man hoping to achieve one last, personal, athletic achievement.
