on what your goal is. If only goal is to finish, don't be put off...go for it. Just increase your long run by 1 mile a week and 2 if you need to after you reach 10. To complete a marathon most will tell you the long run only has to get to 20. You have plenty of time to do that. Now, if you are trying to run it for a specific time then everyone is right- you should wait. Good luck!
