Im still new too running, Tuesday/ I ran/walked 4 miles, Id run a mile then walk till I caught my breathe (about 3 mins) then run. My Time was 44:19.I felt good after that. Weds/ I decided to do the same for 3 miles (trying to get around the 30 min mark)but my calf pulled on me about half way had to walk back. I wasnt tired at all. It feels like my mind and lungs have plenty of gas in the tank, but my body needs to keep up. How long should I lay off for, before I start back? And when I pulled my calf I was running a shell path, can that make any difference on your body when you run? And should I run one day and take the next day off till Im able to run without walking. Thanks for all the advice I get. Shawn
