It is true...sort of. Most people compress slightly throughout the course of the day from various activities including simply standing. That is why when you get measured you should do it first thing in the morning to get the most accurate measurement. It would come to reason then that someone who is participating in an activity that promotes compression of the body would expirience a slightly larger "shrink" for lack of better words. Maybe try measuring yourself first thing in the morning and then again at night and see if their is a significant differance. Hope this helps!
