The 6 miles that you are doing every other day combined with the 9 - 10 miles on the fourth run is one of the best running schedules that you can do to build to a half marathon particularly since you have the added conditioning from you cycling. You can build an incredible base with the schedule you are using and stay injury free ..... what begins to happen is that after about two months of running that program, you will tend to get faster and faster with the with the 6 milers as you build tempo intervals into the 6s and still find the it to be pleasant and enjoyable.
Yes, you can be ready for a marathon by January and easily ready for a half in December. However, to be ready for the marathon, you will need to build you distance into the 40 miles per week range.
