I'm trying to decide between aiming for a half or a full marathon in 4 months for my first race and was wondering if anyone had any advice. From mid-May to mid-July I've been averaging about 25 miles a week but had to take a temporary break due to an old back injury/moving back into school and a few various circumstantial reasons. I just started logging miles again and right now my long run is 5.5 miles. Is it reasonable to think that I would be able to do a full in 4 months or should I just sign up for the half? Thanks for any help you can give!
