I am a first time runner and after my first "long run" (I put long in quotes because it was only 3, but its a lot for me!), I had chafing between my legs...definitely the typical pear shaped girl with larger thighs. Not fun. If that happens at 3 miles, I can't imagine what it will be like at 13 (i'm only running the half). Anyone have any suggestions/tips of how to avoid that?
