I ran the Vegas half in 2007. The first half is great but heading back to Mandalay was no fun. They send you down some shady back streets. I felt that they didn't have enough mile markers nor enough water stations. But I heard that this year the Rock and Roll race guys bought the Las Vegas marathon from the Divine group (I heard they weren't paying their bills or just broke). I've heard great things about the R and R marathon in San Diego and Arizona. So I think it will be better, hopefully. Good luck!! (Dress warmly, the year I ran the winds were 23 mph and it was brutal!)
