A couple of comments for you.
Regarding the red-faced bit, I know people that get red-faced, as you've described during and after exercise. One in particular has been told that it is due to not sweating properly. I believe this possibly means that you may not be hydrated appropriately as this is what has been suggested to her.
Regarding the stitch, you may be just worrying too much about that as they are typically caused by something you've eaten or had to drink. I notice I get them more frequently when eating certain foods or possibly even eating too much too close to your run.
