I ran my first marathon 'alone' after doing all of my training solo too! I will agree that just figuring out where to go and what to do that morning was intimidating, but it turned out that I worried for nothing! All of the people I spoke to, runners and volunteers alike, were incredibly kind and helpful. As far as running alone goes I would recommend finding a pace group (if they are offering pacer) to run with. I met so many great people and my pace group leader really helped me get through the last grueling 4-5 miles. Good luck, just have fun and enjoy the great accomplishment of running a marathon!
