Not very comfortable about traveling over 1800 miles (from Des Moines, Iowa)just to run 26.2 however, I have a couple friends that say this is a must for me. I would like to plug into the community for a couple days before and possibly some time after. The website is set up very well, yet still feels like a shot in the dark choosing location that would lend itself well to the starting point (or more important the finish line) of the marathon and work well for a bit of site seeing (absent a rental car). I will be attending SITS (Palm Springs, CA) the following weekend and would be interested in connecting with any locals who may be at the PS round up.
