Recently I stayed at the Hotel Grand Krasnopolsky in the center of Amsterdam. This large hotel is excellently located and had large tubs (recommended for post race soak). They also have a spa in the hotel but book your massage before you get there since they fill quickly. This hotel is pretty expensive but you can use the web site 1800usahotels.com and book for rather cheap (especially off season). Also, there is a great pancake restaurant (near Anne Frank's House) called the Pancake Bakery. The food is excellent and cheap. Have fun.
