Hello,
I'm a first timer (first marathon is in one week!). At the peak of training, when we were doing our longest runs (20-22 milers) I started having serious knee pain (mid run). It turned out to be my IT bands. I stopped training - took two weeks off -and started doing everything my doctor and physical therapist said.
Now I'm MUCH better and started running again - right when we're tapering. I'm thinking of run/walking the marathon. My longest training run prior to injury was 18 miles.
Any advice on run/walking a marathon? It's my first, so I don't really care about time. I just want to finish!
