Hi Sunbeam, Sorry for the tardy response, I haven't been around much lately :) Patriot's Day treated me and my group really well. I was prepared for the worst and got, as you know, nothing near that. In fact, I thought the conditions were pretty darn good. Thankfully my husband talked me into wearing a different pair of shoes out to Hopkinton to change out of prior to the start- a very good decision as my feet were soaked within a minute of arrival. As you may or may not know I ran the Georgia Marathon as a training run on March 25th and honestly, the uphillness of that course followed closely with the downhillness of Boston really took it out of my legs. They were starting to tire by mile 9- not exactly ideal. However, I kept a steady pace and ran the second half only a minute and twenty seconds slower than the first half. Not bad considering the terrain in Newton. Anyway, I finished in 3:35:59- exactly eleven minutes faster than last year. All in all a good day and another great weekend spent in Boston. How did it go for you?
