Boy, you've got that right. It's been two years now since I swore off high-fat food. I've been to McDonalds/Wendy's/Taco Bell only about 4 times since then, and always buy the lowest fat stuff available (no fries, no ice cream, no cheeseburgers, etc.). I've gone from eating out once or twice a week to once every month or two.
Fortunately, my wife and youngest daughter (all my other kids are married and gone) live the same lifestyle of healthy eathing and exercise. We don't have fatty foods in our house. We don't eat candy or nuts. We don't eat beef or ham--except in very small portions as part of another dish, and then only the very low-fat versions of these meats. It's wonderful to have that kind of support in my own home.
