I drink a minimum of 1 gallon a day - some days 2 gallons - I am very dilligent in my salt intake to keep my eletrolytes in balance. I am a heavy sweater and run 120 MPW when in training.

I agree with the previous poster - During the day its easy to tell if I am properly hydrated or a little dehydrated by urnine color.

H2o is like the oil in your care - you need it to have your muscles perform well and have the blood carry max o2 to you muscles. But overfilling can strip you of your electrolytes and being a serious health situation - Find the right balance.
