One of the best parts of any marathon is the diversity of people. I see fat, skinny (me), young, old (me), women, men (me), amputees, crawlers, blind, wheelchairs, pushers and pushees, etc. Except for a few participants up by the motorcycles who enter for money, glory, or trophies, each of us is there to beat only ourselves, to set a PR. I'll be out racing in February and March, having fun and trying to get just a little faster. Let us know what events you enter so that that we can wave to you, or you to us, as one passes the other.
