I didn't mean to imply that I've trained for 6 marathons mostly on the treadmill. For the last 5 I've trained mostly outdoor. This season I've had some bad luck with weather this marathon on my long run days. I agree completely that its better to run outside - not just for body but for mind as well! I'm less motivated on the treadmill unless I turn the TV on and that is another whole training rut that I've managed to avoid this training season. We are expecting highs in the 20's this weekend but I am determined to run outside this weekend!
