Hello Ladies, Quick question: I recently was accepted into the London Marathon (hurrah!), after several months of intense training/weight loss with a personal trainer, who had me on a daily caloric intake of about 1400 calories (as I have a pretty inactive desk job). As I know more running means I require more calories, I'm wondering how any of you calculate how many calories you need, versus how many you're expending (training has me running around 35-40 miles a week). That is, I don't want to put back on the weight I lost recently, but I also don't want to keep myself from well-needed nutrition during training. And I also understand that your body is far more susceptable to injury if you're not intaking enough.
What do you think?
