How far are you in your training? At 35-40 miles a week...is 10-14 of these a long run yet? w/3 months and counting, you should be at 10- 14 OK w/the lenght of your training.

How do you feel during and after your long run? If your pace sucks or slows due to fatigue, this may tell you to put an extra 200-300 low GI food the day before your long run; and an extra 100 calories the day of- a banana or toast, PB/apple, etc.

I guage calories off of the long runs. Ask yourself how far your maintenance runs are- 3 to 4 miles or 6 to 8. You can sustain 3-4 w/1400 cal/day. However, you may start to find the longer run days need a little something.

I find I get tired w/o a gel or gummi bears during the longs.

Hydrate well, too. Bet you're OK here w/dieting.

BTW- I am 5'7" and around 120 when not mad training. If you keep running long enough, calories are your buddy some days; 1400 is weight loss range- girl, you have to be hungry!

Suggest you talk w/trainer for long run days and taking in an extra couple 100 so you can finish London in one piece.

Good luck,

w.j.
