Weight training for young female runner David Forbes 5/1/00 4:40:12 PM ET
My daughter (14 years old, wt 86 lbs) is a keen and reasonably accomplished runner. I feel that she is too light (slight?) for the stresses imposed by 35+ miles/week training required by her high school coach. Does anyone have any ideas on diet/weight training combinations that might allow her to gain weight and build muscle?
