So, I was wondering how the other First Timers were doing with their training. Most people seem to do their Long Run on the weekends, so how did they go this week?

It was a step-back week for me. I did a 13 miler after last week's 16. It was so much easier for a couple of reasons. First of all was the obvious shorter distance, and second was that I actually got to run on pavement or packed snow. Last week's run was on two inches of powder from the night before, and the whole run felt like running in sand. Running on pavement made me feel like I was going forward more, rather than running in place. I hope I get the same mental boost when I get to Vegas in February!
