I agree with Voodoo on taking the Mondays off. After the long run on Sunday, I figure my body has earned a day off from running, and I haven't had any problems with my Tue-Wed-Thu runs. I think you need to incorporate rest into your training for your muscles to come back stronger after a tough workout. I usually do some weight training instead on my days off.
Here's a question for everyone: How many days a week do you train for your marathon? I'm currently trying to run 5 days a week.
We're all pushing the limits of our fitness, and it's a balancing act between getting fitter, and risking injury.
Speaking of which, I'm glad to hear to Jenefer had a pain-free run!
My two cents worth.
