That makes sense (even though at this point, I would have hoped not be in the "inexperienced" arena).
This morning, I ran on the treadmill and paid attention to my breathing. I did seem to concentrate on my exhaling. I tend "just to run" on the treadmill - no need to worry about traffic, pace, watching my footing, when the next water stop is... I just run and my breathing was very natural and steady.
Now I just need to do this outside too... But it helps to know what the cause is so I can prevent the stitches from happening.
