Rousse, My experience is the same as yours although I do without rather than deal with the bar scene. Almost all gay runners fall into the 90% of the 10% so there is no way of telling that they are gay if your gaydar is as weak as mine. None of us are flaming queens. I joined a local chapter of http://www.frontrunners.org/ only to be very disappointed. Most of the members don't even run - they roller blade, bike ride, or walk. Those that do "run" do so at a 10 min pace (yawn). And if you saw these guys you would feel like screaming "please put a shirt on!" I surfed the websites of other frontrunner chapters and came away with the same impression, based on the encouragement of nonrunners being welcome members. At the same time, I also joined a local road runner club where everyone is serious about running, and I might add much more friendly. Plenty of single guys but no idea of who is looking for the same thing as me. The only place I know of to meet guys is at a social put on by a local gay & lesbian community center and still the chances of meeting that special guy are slim. Rousse - Why is this post in the "Bogus Posts/ Fantasy" category? - did not seem bogus or fantasy to me, I am serious; what state/country do you run in?
