Gareth, Yes take it slow and easy. As you can see by my online name I'm only half their to the full marathon but I can tell you to try a 5K run first. Most importantly. listen to your body and don't push your training too fast. Save that for races. You will hit frustrating plateaus you have to stay at for a awhile but so what. Bad news is toughen up you need to run outside regardles of whether. Dress appropiately, thin manmade fibers in layers in winter. Hydrate on runs eat right(you know the fruit, grains, low fat, salt,sugar etc.) Good luck check in often tell us how It's going.
