Post-marathon blues

Well, I ran my first marathon in October, and I finished the run. SUCCESS!!! However, since then, I have taken time off to rest a sore knee and to give myself a mental break after training for 20-plus months. Recently, I've been feeling lost and kinda down because that rigorous training and anticipation of a marathon is not there every day, or so. Has anyone else felt these "post-marathon blues" before, or is it just me?

I am running about 15 miles a weeks, and intend to run a 5-miler Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving Day, so I haven't given up running - I think. I just can't get myself out the door to run just to enjoy running. Got any ideas?, Or, do I just wait this feeling out, if it goes away?

Ollie, North, Dave, and Bambi - I could really use some help on this one. Thanks for your help. You guys/ladies have sincerely been helpful to my recovery efforts and first marathon experience. I hope I can get to another marathon.

Patty
