I'm going to try and run a qualifying time for Boston in a marathon scheduled to be run on Nov 24th. The only problem is, I've only been doing 11 miles up until this past weekend. (However, I ran a 1/2marathon in Sept and finished in 1:27:15) I did 18 miles this past Sat and managed a 7:05 pace, which would allow me 7:55's for the last 8. However, I think I broke that pace during miles 15-18, with the last few being over 8's. I don't think I would somehow speed up for the last 6. I ran the Marine Corps last year, my first marathon, in 3:15. Any suggestions on training for the next few weeks? Trust me, I know this goes against conventional wisdom when it comes to running a marathon.
