I had two c-sections and they were terrible to recover from. But then, after nine/ten months of pregnancy, I wasn't in great shape. I was told at the time to even avoid climbing stairs for six weeks. However, I had my gallbladder out in June (one four inch incision--due to complications-- and three laproscopic holes) and ran a 2 hour 15 minute 1/2 marathon less than two months later. The difference between the two surgeries is monumental. Hope this helps. Shelley
