headaches can occur with dehydration; stay hydrated while running long runs and be sure to rehydrate after runs with fluid replacement drinks like gatorade; low blood glucose can also trigger headaches; replenish calories soon after running; temperature can trigger headaches/migraines for some; wear a hat if cool or a lightweight wicking hat if running in hot sun; try popping your favorite headache med right after a run; my favorite is extremely effective: excedrine migraine formula; i know of no beneficial vitamins for this problem; see your doc if headaches persist or you can't prevent them

good luck and enjoy your running!
