Everyone seems to be putting this marathon on their calendar. The race should hit its capacity. The DC Marathon fills a nice void. While DC has two to three, relatively cold, winter marathons in January to early March (Last Plain (perhaps defunct), GW's Birthday, and B&A Trail), the spring only has 10 milers (Reston, Cherry Blossom, GW Parkway, Defender). Residents had to drive to Virginia Beach or New Jersey for a late March or April marathon, where they were rewarded with great, flat, fast marathons. Now DC has its own marathon in the spring.
