WOW! I am amazed at your understanding of your body's dynamic during a race. I am starting a training program to run my first marathon scheduled for Memorial Day 2002, and I was happy to find your story. I am incredibly nervous, but comfortable with my running (I am more of a recreational/everyday runner, but like to consider myself an athlete), and am looking forward to this challenge. Any advice for a newbie to the marthoning world? I would appreciate it since you are fresh from your experience. CONGRATULATIONS! Colleen
