Five weeks? That much time? Well, you should be ok...for now.
Now, wait until that taper period. Yeah, you can just feel all of that hard-won fitness draining away. Hey, where did those little aches and pains come from? Shouldn't I feel good?
Oh no...at work, someone has a cold! Better wash those hands over and over...to get sick now would sure be a shame!
Bags..got them packed? What if my luggage gets lost; better "carry on" my running clothes. And an alarm clock too; I'd sure hate to oversleep on race day. I sure hope that the other folks in the hotel are QUIET the night before the race.
And those meals; well, food poisioning the day before the race would not be good....
