I live in Albuquerque and want to run the Duke City Marathon this September, but I am less motivated on my own than with a running buddy. The only marathon I've run so far has been the San Diego Rock 'n' Roll in June of 2005. My time was 5:30 but I ran it with my dad and sister and we all stuck together -- I had trained better than they had, and in higher altitude, so I feel I could have done it in about 5:15. (Of course I was glad for their company though -- it was better than finishing faster and all alone!) I am aiming for 5:00 in Albuquerque. If this is about your pace, please let me know and we can plan to run it together so we don't get too bored. Furthermore, if you're not from the area, we've got a free spare bedroom if you want to save on costs.
