That was my thought exactly. The only thing I was going to change was to punch a hole in the paper and fasten it to my running number and pull it out periodically.
You're right. When I'm exhausted and reaching mile 20, the last thing I want to do is do the math in my head for what I need to finish.
Besides. I believe that the target pace will help me not blow it in the first 8-10 miles. That's the part of the race that concerns me the most. Humility for me begins around the 12 - 15 mile mark and ends at 26.2 I NEVER have to worry about going to fast by then.
