I am no expert, but you know that by the previous posts on this site, but I do use the pace chart from this site on my runs.

I made a bunch of different ones for different times and I change them depending on how fast I want to run that day.

It keeps me from doing the math in my head the whole way,, which I do anyway, but at least my split times are easy to figure.

I think they keep me motivated during the runs, even if I'm going short like 7-8 miles I bring it along.

A hint to keep them nice. Get clear packing tape and tape both sides then cut it down. I rub body glide on the inside of mine and tape it into the loop around my wrist. I once taped it over my wrist band, but I forgot it was there and scratched my face. I won't do that again.
