About two months ago while running downhill I developled severe pain in my right IT Band. After a couple of weeks it went away, and I went ahead and ran the Indy Mini Marathon on May 6. Well, on the 11th mile, my LEFT IT Band started to hurt. I finished, running the last two miles faster than the rest. Well, it is over two weeks later and I have not been able to run more than three miles at a time without my IT Band giving me pain. I desperately want to keep running. I've run probably four times since the Mini, and the IT has acted up each time -- now it is just dull pain on the outside of my left knee. I bought new shoe inserts and a knee strap. Any other suggestions?
