PPA is phenylpropanolamine. Slim Fast does not and never has contained PPA.
PPA is a beta receptor agonist. The junk science knock on PPA is that it was "associated" with hemmorhagic strokes in a few young women. Don't misconstrue "associated" with "caused" because the case studies did NOT establish causation.
FDA has not rescinded the OTC monographs approving PPA.
Although Slim Fast is no better than a liquid candy bar, it does not contain any central nervous system stimulants.
