You seem to already recognize that running Columbus is a risky proposition. And I agree.

Marathoners often do not know when to back off from a challenge, so if you have a reliable sports medicine office on your speed dial, sure, run Columbus. Your ego will feel better.

But if you want to become a better marathoner, your next 26.2 ought to be in 2002.
