Hello...You will probably find that in the runners packet, it will say "no headphones on the race course". So for that reason, it is not a good idea. But more importantly, if you were wearing phones, you would miss a significant part of the race experience. You need to just take everything in that day, and not be distracted by wearing phones. Toward the end of the race when things get somewhat dicey, you will find the headphones to be a burden rather than an asset. On anothr subject, Ollie (the self-professed authority on everything to do with running) will probably give you contradictory advice. Do not, I repeat, do not listen to him. Here's how he operates: Whatever I say, he takes the opposing point of view in order to steer unsuspecting novice runners down a path of self-destruction. Forewarned is forarmed.
