Along with childbirth came my first and most formidable case of hemorrhoids. They healed and I thought that was the end of it. Years later I became addicted to running and did the usual increase in mileage and intensity. That's when they reappeared. I figured it was the concussion. I have been pretty much "cured" primarily by making sure that I get adequate fiber in my diet. Eating salads made all the difference in keeping them at bay. If every once in a blue moon they start to reappear, I will use Preparation H (the cooling gel type) to lessen the discomfort while running. So far it has worked like a charm.
