Thank you all for your help. I do run races regularly and am running my first 1/2 marathon on October 14. I love running and don't want to hurt myself so that I can't run but I also don't want to "cheat." I probably will end up taking walking breaks and will incorporate them into my training runs because I don't want to have something new going on at the main event! The best thing about running is other runners they are always so supportive and helpful -- Oh and the high of actually running!
