I don't remember there being any cobblestones, but then again it was my first marathon last year and I may have been so immersed in the experience that it went past me. In any event, don't remember there being any problem with the course. In fact, having just done NYC last week I appreciate how nice Philly is to the legs in comparison to NYC.
