I feel the exact pain in my right calf muscles. I have been training for my first marathon since last November and presently running 10+ miles. I first experienced this pain trying to run my first 10 miler. Although I was able to finish the race, the next day I have an excruciating twitching pain in my right calf muscle trying to do an easy run.
I am not sure if I am not stretching properly or maybe its because I am not hydtrating properly. I do seldom have the twitching now and do a lot of stratching before any run.
Do the veteran-marathoners have any insight on this???
