Sheldon, don't forget that these "longer" races (15K-25K) can be fairly tricky to run: you can't just plod through and be successful, but at the same time if you go out too fast, well, you've got a long, long race ahead of you!
About your 1:09, yeah, a couple of years ago I would have called that "slow"; but when I run my 15K 2 weekends from now, I'd be delighted to run that time!
Just remember that you now have a big hunk of experience with you!
So, "well done", even if you want to do better next time.
